The Value of a Mindful Pause

Viktor Frankl had it right.

The psychiatrist, neurologist, and philosopher Viktor Frankl is credited with saying, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to chose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.”

Mindfulness helps to create and empower the space between stimulus and action. In doing so, mindfulness offers the possibility of living in response to experience rather than in reaction to it.
